For those of you that don't know, Henry is currently attending a 2 year program at Salt Lake Community College to become an A & P mechanic. The "A" stands for Airframe and the "P" stands for Powerplant. These are the licenses every airplane mechanic must have in order to work on airplanes. The bonus part is that when he is done, he will also be certified to work on helicopters. This is an intense program that requires 6 1/2 hours of classroom time each day Monday through Friday for two years. Mind you, just passing the courses does not give you these licenses. The students must take three separate cerftification exams to get both licenses. So it is not an easy road, but one that Henry has valiantly decided to take on and is currently succeeding in!
For those of you wondering 'what happened to the pilot route', that ship has not sailed. We have currently hit a financial roadblock in that area but have every hope that we can one day get Henry through the final stages of that program. While attending flight school Henry got further than many because of his talent and fast learning abilities. Being a certified private pilot has been invaluable to Henry in the airplane mechanic's program, he is currently in. So if any of you have any extra dough laying around, we would love a donation to further Hen's pilot/mechanic career!
We are so proud of Henry for making the Honor Roll! This has been no easy task! Henry's schedule is to get up at 4am every morning to be to work by 5am. His work shift does not end until 1:30pm at which time he must rush over to school by 2 and stay until 8:30pm Monday through Friday. Once he gets home he has to study until he falls asleep. So I just want Hen to know that I am so proud of what he is accomplishing and impressed with his hard work ethic and endurance to accomplish his goals to help better our family! Thank you Honey and I love you!
We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun!

Home for the Holidays!
For Hen's Christmas present this year I flew him home to Connecticut for a surprise visit for the first time in three years. It was such a surprise that he about gave his Dad a heart attack when he showed up Christmas morning. I will admit it was not easy to be apart on Christmas, but it was worth it knowing he was getting quality time with his family.
