We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun!

We will miss you always Grandma 4!
Henry's sweet Grandmother from Avon, Connecticut passed away on December 31. She was the kindest person and we will miss her always. Henry was able to fly out and speak at her funeral. It just won't be the same when we visit there with her gone.

Here are the thoughts Henry shared at her funeral.
Good Morning Family and Friends,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to say a few words of what a blessing it has been to have had such a wonderful Grandmother in my life these past 30 years. During this time I have been able to spend a lot of quality time with her that has meant the world to me. There are no words to express how much I love her and miss having her around. When I arrived home here from Utah last Friday it was so surreal to not be able to see her smiling face and hear her sweet voice. You all know how wonderful of a person she was and how well she took care of all of us. She is by far the most selfless person I have ever had the opportunity of knowing.
There is no doubt in my mind that Grandma is in a better place where she is able to spend time with her parents and friends that have already passed through the veil to that sweet paradise called Heaven.
We have been so blessed as a family to have made so many memories together over the years whether it be at the Lake or time spent in Florida being around Grandma was always a fun and happy time. And who can forget the cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary, all of the many birthdays, holidays and meals all spent together. Some of my favorite memories were when Grandma and I would get to spend time just one on one. She taught me so many things in my life and had so much wisdom to share.
I just want everyone to know that she was such and inspiration to me, she always was the voice of reason when there were disagreements. I always loved when she shared her opinion because even though at the moment we would sometimes not immediately agree, when we came to our senses we inevitably would, because let’s face it she was always right. I never heard her raise her voice or ever say a cross thing about anyone. It’s just so great that the Lord would bless us and provide us with such a great mother, and grandmother to all of us. If I could ever hope to be even ½ the person she was I know I could do amazing things in my life. Grandma’s strength was superhuman. She fought a courageous fight against cancer and in the end the Lord had mercy on one of his most favorite daughters and took her home. I know many of us are frustrated by the pain she had to endure but I know that it was the Lord having mercy on us and allowing us to prepare for her departure by giving us just a little more time with her.
In closing I just want to share with you some of my favorite qualities that Grandma possessed that would be her love and patience and her kindness and understanding. Another awesome trait she had was listening to all of your problems and then after you vented just basically tell you what you wanted to hear to make you feel good. Then follow with what you needed to hear. To go along with the caring part, I moved back for a period of time a few years ago and had the pleasure of living with Grandma and Grandpa before I met my sweet wife and moved to Utah. While I lived there I had to take some medication and she even adjusted their diet for my needs. I can just go on and on but I must give some time for other members of my family some time to speak. I just hope we all can use each other to get through this difficult time. I just want to finish by saying thank you all very much for taking the time to come and celebrate the wonderful life of one the very best spirits that the Lord has ever sent to this earth. I would like to say these things in the sacred and holy name of our savior Jesus Christ Amen.
