Hen needed to burn some hours that were expiring in a Piper Arrow so we decided to fly to Jackson Hole for dinner. It was a quick 1 hr and 15 min flight to and from there. We had a lot of fun and I got some great photos! On the way back from Jackson we flew over Logan and at about that time the engine generator stopped working as we were flying over the mountains no less. Henry didn't want to scare me so he just told me to use his cell phone light for him to see the instruments because it had gotten dark so that he could save his vision. Little did I know he was pretty nervous and was worried we would have to do an emergency landing. Luckily we got home safe and sound. I didn't even find out until years later that we were in so much danger. Thanks Hen for keeping me in the clouds in more ways than one.
This was a huge Colorado cloud of smoke from a bad fire
