On Friday, May 16 Hen I drove from our Hotel in Santa Cruz to San Francisco. We took the Ferry over to Alcatraz for an interesting tour then headed back to the mainland. We had great clam chowder at our favorite the Franciscan, headed over to Boudin's for some sourdough bread to take back with us, and ended our day with some ice cream from Ghirardeli square. It was fun to do a lot of people watching while we were there as well. And driving out of the city in commuter traffic was quite the experience. We drove back to Santa Cruz that night to stay in our hotel before heading to the airport on Saturday for our flight home.
