While we were at Grandpa's house he pulled out a box of some of Grandma's family photos which is the Brown Family. It was so much fun getting to hear stories about these ancestors of Henry's.

Hartford, CT Temple Progress
We are super excited there is an LDS temple being built in Connecticut, especially since it is like 5 minutes from Grandpa's house :) We stopped by to check out the progress
Grandma 4
It was definitely hard to be in Connecticut and not have Grandma there, but I am sure she was watching over us. We definitely felt her presence more at the house than at her gravesite.
Connecticut -Avon
Hen and I flew to Avon, CT on August 15th for an 11 day vacation that would include time spent in Avon, Lake Champlain, Vermont, and Montreal.
1st day there we were just hangin with Grandpa, Uncle Tom, and Cousin Christian. These pictures were taken at Hen's Dad's house. The barn is the oldest in Connecticut I believe. I was able to sit down with Grandpa and talk about genealogy and get some cool pictures that I will be using to update my tree on ancestry.com.

Kara's Sabbatical has Officially Commenced!
What is this you say? I don't have to wake up to an alarm clock for the next six weeks? I don't have to sit in commuter traffic for two hours a day for the next six weeks? I don't have to do anything but have fun for the next six weeks? What did I do, win the lottery? Nope, I am just taking my awesome work sabbatical that I have waited 8 years for! If you are looking for me I will either be on a mountain, at a lake, or on the beach!!
