Bobcats, Portuguese Man O'War, and Manatees

 One morning Berry was out for a walk and came upon this Bobcat that was up to her waist. Once she realized it was not a dog, she slowly backed away only to discover it was following her. Luckily she was eventually able to get away from it. But it definitely made her heart skip a few beats. Then the next morning she went on a walk on the beach to avoid running into the bobcat again, only to be greeted with Man O'Wars all over the beach that she almost stepped on in bare feet. (she originally just thought it was a jelly fish until a friend of ours informed us that, it was not) Thought it ended up being a really cool picture though!

On our drive to the airport to drop Berry off on Tuesday my mom took us to this spot where the manatees were congregating to stay warm since it is so unseasonably cool in Florida this year.

Ocean Grill in Vero Beach. We had an interesting dinner to say the least, that probably made sense given the off the wall decor. We ordered a crab dip appetizer that had to be sent back because is my mom's words it was "too pungent". Then Berry had the lonely grouper, I the flounder, and my mom had good lobster tails. Then the dessert tray was brought and the whole reason we had picked this restaurant was for the key lime pie and there was no key lime pie on the tray of of 20 desserts. But they did have it, none the less. We did a competition taste test later between El Sid's Key Lime Pie and City Grille, and El Sid's won. Later we had the key lime pie at Charthouse and it beat the other two.

Even though Hen didn't come on this trip, the dogs were still boarded because between work and school, Hen was not home enough to take care of the pups. 

Shopping, Airboats, Gators, Pizza and Rummikub

Having a blast in Florida on our all girls trip! Two great beach days with lots of sunshine, and then today we ventured out on an airboat ride at Camp Holly and some shopping in Cocoa Beach! Not missing the 20 degrees in Salt Lake! So many fun memories! It was actually rainy and cold on Saturday by the time we got to the airboat rides. Because of this, we did not see a single alligator! So we were laughing pretty much the whole ride because we had wanted to see alligators! Also you will notice Luce was wearing shorts so I gave her one of the long sleeved shirts I had just purchased at Alvins to try and stay warm on the boat. We all froze but still had a lot of fun! My mom wanted us to be able to see an alligator so she took us to the local bass pro shop to see one! Too funny! 

We ended the day with dinner at Bizarro's as we shivered! The best New York Pizza I have ever had outside of New York! So grateful for this precious time spent with my mom and sisters!

On Monday we went to the beach because there was sunshine, but it was pretty chilly as you can see by these two homeless looking people on the beach...lol.

Funny Story- So on my flight over from Atlanta to Melbourne I sat next to a Real Estate Agent who lived locally in Melbourne and he gave me a long list of recommendations for restaurants. I am pretty sure we passed each of them atleast once. As we passed them I kept saying oh there's another one of the seven. It became a running joke the whole trip. What's even funnier, is now I realize the list was actually 9 restaurants, but we were saying 7 the whole time.

Our nightly Rummikub games! Somehow Berry beat us all 3 games in a row! Way to go Berry! I did gain redemption for all of us by winning the last game before Berry left. I did also proceed to beat her 3 games of sequence, but they shouldn't really count since she was just learning and I have played it for years.

So excited! Berry, Luce, and I headed out on redeye flights to meet up with my mom staying at a gorgeous condo in Melbourne Beach Florida for a week on an all girls trip!

7th Floor

My mom took us to Squid Lips for our first night there. The lighting is a little off, but not that off, we were all a little red after our first day in the sun. I was half asleep most of the day since I didn't sleep on the redeye the night before.
