Oscar: I hereby call this pack meeting to order.

First item of business: Why are we locked in this tiny room? I can hear noises in the house! Are Mom and Dad crazy?!? We can’t protect them if we are in here and they are out there!

Lucy: Calm down Oscar, you can live without your “Siesta Bed” for a few minutes. And Mom and Dad are going to be just fine… I hope…

Oscar: You are one to talk, let’s see how long you can go without your chew toys. And you never know, this could be the one time the carpet cleaner takes them out! There is no food in here and only enough water to last half a day! What if we are stuck in this space forever?

Patsy: Speaking of food, Is it almost lunch snack time?

Oscar: Patsy, how can you think about snack time at a time like this! Mom and Dad’s lives are on the line and we have no way of escaping this room!

Patsy: Well statistically speaking… the odds of Mom and Dad getting taken out by the carpet cleaner are pretty low.

Oscar: Neither of you are any help. Moving on to the next agenda item.

Lucy: I have noticed that there are new dog neighbors that have moved in at the bottom of the hill. I’m still trying to get the 411 on their sitch.

Patsy: I miss Mom and Dad. I wonder if they will let us out soon. What if I am not there when I am needed to help?

Lucy: Help what exactly? You do remember we don’t have thumbs right?

Patsy: But what if they get lonely? Or bored, because we are not there for them to pet?

Lucy: Point taken.

Oscar: I give up on you two, I’m going to take a nap until either I die from being stuck in this room too long, or Mom and Dad rescue us from this prison!
