Moving to Wendover

So when Hen found out he could choose to transfer to Wendover, he jumped on the opportunity to be closer to home and get away from the heat of Vegas. So I flew out to Vegas and we rented a uhaul again for the second time within 10 months and moved him out to Wendover. The weekend was quite eventful between our SUV breaking down twice. Once it was in the valet line at the MGM Grand as we were going into see the Cirque du Soleil show Ka. Luckily we were still able to see the show but had to wait 2 hours after the show for someone to come tow our car.  Other than that, moving in 120 degree heat was really the silver lining!!! Man, I must love this man a lot!

The Hoover Dam Tour

Last time I visited Vegas, Hen and I toured the Hoover Dam. It was really cool!

This picture was taken from inside the Dam looking out.

Cali got a bath today. She looks so pretty!

She has really been loving taking rides in the convertible this summer!

Vegas!

It was great! I was able to go see Hen for a week! We always have a good time. We went to the Paris Hotel for dinner at the Sugar Factory and saw the Jersey Boys. Then we went across the street and watched the water show at the Bellagio. We also went to the Hoover Dam and took the Dam tour :), and I got lots of time at the pool. We also saw Star Trek in 3D which was fun because we had the theater all to ourselves.

Hen came home to visit

Hen came home to visit and we decided to go to breakfast at our favorite place up big cottonwood canyon. It was super nice since we were the only ones there!

Trip to Heber

One Saturday my Dad and I took a trip to the Heber Cemetery to find some of the headstones of our relatives. The best part was that my Dad kept saying "I remember this huge bush where the headstones were." Well let me tell you that bush was no longer there so we were walking all over the cemetery trying to find these headstones, but he finally found them. He remembered going there with Nana many times while he was growing up. We stopped off at the Homestead for a nice lunch on the back patio. It was a nice drive in the convertible. But even though the man is almost 60, he still has a lead foot! I had to keep telling him, Dad I don't think the speed limit is 50 here....

This is the house Nana grew up in before she moved to American Fork.
