New Year's Eve

 Just like graduating from one year to the next, Out with the old, in with the new, I always say... if Henry Joseph Becker IV were dragging a rug out of a house, you may question it’s contents... Can’t believe I actually got it to “fit”... Happy New Years Eve!

Hey! I think I saw those topiaries somewhere once already today...

Lovin the New Rug!

Some weirdo was walking around At Home with these in their cart today... some people, I tell ya!  Totally ridiculous! Best part was FaceTiming my mom so she could see how tall they were while hugging one in an aisle... people thought I couldn’t see them laughing while they wore their masks! The eyes don’t lie peeps! The eyes don’t lie! πŸ‘€

This Lil Piggy

 This little piggy went to market,

This little piggy stayed home,

This little piggy had roast beef,

This little piggy had none,

And this little piggy cried "wee wee wee" all the way down the stairs as the stuffing was siphoned from its interior!

Christmas Time

 On this Christmas Sunday, I am so humbled and grateful to have been able to attend a beautiful, spirit filled, Christmas program at our ward this morning. I couldn't help as I looked around at all wearing masks and all that has been taken from us this year. This reminded me of the Who from Whoville singing around the Christmas tree in Whoville after they had discovered the Grinch had taken all of their presents. While we only listened to the wonderful music today instead of singing, I could feel the spirit fill the room from the hearts of all those present and those unseen. I am so grateful that we have a time of year that we celebrate the birth of our Savior, who was born for us, atoned for us, and died for us so that we might live with him and our Father in Heaven again. How blessed we all are! O Holy Night has become one of my most favorite Christmas Hymns. I hope as you read these words or hear this song this Christmas season you will also feel the sweet Spirit of Christmas.

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining,

It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth;

Long lay the world in sin and error pining,

'Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn;

Chorus

Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices!

O night divine! O night when Christ was born.

O night, O holy night, O night divine.

Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming;

With glowing hearts by his cradle we stand:

So, led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,

Here come the wise men from Orient land,

The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger,

In all our trials born to be our friend;

Chorus

He knows our need, To our weakness no stranger!

Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend!

Behold your King! your King! before him bend!

Truly He taught us to love one another;

His law is Love and His gospel is Peace;

Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother,

And in his name all oppression shall cease,

Sweet hymns of joy in grateful Chorus raise we;

Let all within us praise his Holy name!

Chorus

Christ is the Lord, then ever! ever praise we!

His pow'r and glory, evermore proclaim!

His pow'r and glory, evermore proclaim!

Missing Nana and Papa

Looking through some old photos this morning and came across this
handsome couple. These wonderful people are known to me as my Nana and Papa.
They are my Dad's parents. Although they have been gone for many years now, I
still feel them near at different times in my life. I so miss them. They
supported me from the day I was born and were always there for the significant
events in my life. I am grateful for all the wonderful memories I have of them.
My Nana was always so kind and served us in so many ways. She would even stop
what she was doing to play a card game with me. My Papa called me his Karebear
and I can remember his singing or humming as he went about his day. We would
also spend many hours on the patio, "Looking at the Beautiful". If any
of you still have grandparents around, give them a ring, or go see them if you
can. Time is more precious than we realize.

Cozy

 When you don’t have a thick coat like your siblings, this is your favorite spot in the house.#oscarboscar #akabooboo

Mom's lap

 Trying to text a friend and the nightly battle for moms lap begins... Oscars like, “Excuse me brother, I was here first. Wait your turn!" and Charlie's like, "I can't hear you!"

When you are trying to talk to your sister on your phone and there is a hundred pound Saint in your lap and a hundred pound hound laying on your chest. Who declared dog pile on mom? Mom can’t breathe!

#lapdogs
Thanks Charlie for sparing me an additional hundred pounds!

Pack Meeting #831

 Pack Meeting #831

After reviewing the minutes from our last meeting, does anyone have anything new to report?

Lucy- “After successfully dragging three blankets off of Charlie’s recliner to the backyard, mom finally got smart and bungeed blanket number 4 to the chair, successfully thwarting my future efforts.”

Oscar-“while mom was working I managed to Swipe one of her multicolored skeins of yarn, that was supposed to be a Christmas present, and successfully decorated the whole  backyard with it”

Lucy-“hey, I helped!”

Charlie- “I have successfully conned mom and dad into extra treats each day based on the assumption that it is colder so we must be hungrier, you’re welcome”

Items to discuss lead by Charlie:

Christmas pj’s, who let mom buy these?

Christmas tree poll-real or not real?

Amazon debate- how many packages are too many packages? Mom may need an intervention...

The sleeping situation must be addressed. Oscar and Lucy you keep crowding my bed, sleep on your own beds!

Upcoming events:

- Seminar on how to bring as much snow from the outside, inside (bonus points if mom and dad step in it while wearing socks)

-training for possible substitute reindeer should one get injured on Christmas Eve

- Christmas! Presents! Toys! Treats galore!

- please continue as always to monitor for templeton (rat) activity

Meeting adjourned

Christmas Gifts

 This year I had a little fun with Gifts. For my Coworkers, they got these ornaments with toilet paper, hand sanitizer and giftcards to bath and body works. For the young women I put together these nightlights with the new theme and nativity.

Poor Charlie

 What in the?

I would bet everything Charlie was there first...

A little me time

 Love to stop and just enjoy some time in the Christmas lights crocheting a scarf with a little Christmas music on in the background. Sometimes it’s nice to just pause from all the hustle and bustle!
