The Girls

From July 22 through August 4th, we had the opportunity to house 2 foreign exchange students from China. Lucy (14) is on the right pictured below and Jane (13) is on the left. They would go in groups everyday from 8:15 am to 5:30 pm and we would have them at nighttime and the weekends. The picture below is the first day I drove them to their group in the convertible. They were fans!

Playing the Wii became a great go to!

I took them to the 24th of July fireworks where they watched from the back of the convertible. Later I found out that Jane was totally freaked out they were going to hit us because we were so close. I thought we had the best seats in the house!

They were home all day on the 24th so I took them to the Pioneer Days fair in Bountiful.

This is what happens when you let two girls go on a spinny ride at the fair..... they did not feel well after,  mixed with the heat and fair food, and not to mention jet lag, did not go over well....

This was taken at their Banquet Dinner where they received certificates for completing the two weeks of school.

Here they were singing to us host families.

On our last Saturday we took the girls bowling. Jane is super competitive and it was kind of funny cause Lucy was kicking her butt.

This was the last night out with the girls on Saturday night. I took them to Mandarin Garden for Dinner. Lucy decided to not listen to me when I told her not to eat the red peppers. Her mouth was on fire!!

This is when we had to drop them off for them to go on to Los Angeles. I got in the car and bawled!
