Time in Paradise

This is the second trip to Hawaii where we have been able to have the exact same room #302 that sits off of the Kings Pond area of the resort. In this last year they put in a new infinity pool. We think it is the best spot on the resort.

This view was from our table at breakfast one morning.

These are pictures on the way to our room.

Our room was on the bottom level because it has an outdoor shower.

On the second to last day of the trip I was walking to the pool and my left foot found this uneven spot in the path. My knees went down on those lava rocks to the left and then I somehow flipped onto my back like a dead bug and my head was under that bush. My knees were bent up over the lava rocks. I was in so much pain and anytime I tried to roll out of the hole I would just get cut up by the rocks. I kept trying to reach for my bag that had my phone that had fallen on the path. It seemed just too far. I laughed and I cried and finally just said "Help!" "Help!" hoping someone would hear me. But no one did. So I reached as far as I could and was able to get to my bag finally as my arm was scraped over the rocks. I called Hen who was in the room doing homework and said I have fallen and I can't get up. He came immediately to rescue me. As he rounded the corner all I heard him say was  "WOAH". Like how in the world did she manage to get that stuck. Hen had to literally move 20 lava rocks so that I could roll out of the hole I had fallen into to avoid getting more cut up. It has been weeks since we have been home and I am just now barely able to put weight on my right knee when I kneel down. In looking back, I am grateful that none of my coworkers saw this fall too because it would have been additionally embarrassing.
